Olivier Sarda, an expert in 2D and 3D imaging technology, is an accomplished VFX supervisor and senior compositor with over 85 blockbuster film credits such as “Furious7,” “King Kong,” “Titanic,” “Star Trek,” and “Star Wars.” Sarda has worked on commercials for clients including Nike, Honda, Toyota, Cadillac, Coors, Revlon, IBM, Chevrolet and BMW.


More recently, Sarda transferred his deep VFX background into AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) development and technology, founding BrainGoo Studios, an independent commercial team which focused on development of mobile content utilizing AR.


As creative director, Sarda developed original AR (Vuforia and Metaio) games and tech demos in Unity for Android and iOS platforms. Proficient in developing for multiple VR platforms, including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard, Sarda was also responsible for product strategy, business development, client relations and technology management. Sarda created Waatoodoo (iOS), a geolocation social activity network which allowed users to discover personalized activities meaningful to them.


Sarda formerly worked at Digital Domain as VFX supervisor, where he developed a new business model that enabled the company to quickly secure lower-budget feature work that kept the production pipeline filled and avoided overhead pitfalls.


Sarda worked at film director Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital and at Cinesite London on notable films like “James Bond,” “Harry Potter” and the “Band of Brothers” mini-series. Previously, Sarda joined Pacific Title Digital Studio and Pacific Title Mirage in Los Angeles, working with multi-Oscar-winning scientist Dr. Mark Sagar on photo-realistic avatars for eCommerce solutions. Sarda also worked at DreamQuest Images and Cinesite in Burbank, as part of the team responsible for the first digital film restoration in history, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
